SEMA Statement on Emissions Restrictions

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 25, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – With the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the headlines of late, SEMA has noticed an uptick in misinformation regarding the Trump Administration’s actions on EV mandates and some members of the industry suggesting that the EV mandate rollbacks mean that defeat devices used to skirt emissions laws are allowed and/or will not be enforced against by the EPA. This is not true; defeat devices are illegal.
