Mirra Andreeva continued her excellent clay-court season in Rome on Saturday, defeating Swiss one-hander Viktorija Golubic in three sets the third round of the WTA 1000 event, 6-1, 4-6, 6-0.
She’s now 14-2 on clay this year, an impressive run that has taken her to the title in Linz, the semifinals in Stuttgart, the final in Madrid last week and now the fourth round (so far) in Rome.
But that’s not all.
Andreeva’s latest victory in the Italian capital was also the milestone 50th WTA 1000 win of her career, an incredible feat given she only just turned 19 years old 10 days ago.
