Successful junior career to first titles as a pro
One of the brightest prospects in Brazilian tennis, Guto Miguel has been collecting impressive results this season. In August, the teenager from Goías earned his first professional singles point at the Brasil Tennis Classic ITF World Tennis Tour M25 event in Sao Paulo, where he also won the doubles title alongside his brother Luis Felipe.
“This was a very positive week and the beginning of a professional career,” said Guto Miguel after lifting the trophy. “I got my first doubles title on the Pro Circuit, my first ATP ranking point in singles, and to do it all alongside my older brother, who is very special to me, makes it even better. We only see each other during his vacations, so I’m grateful to the organizers for the wild cards, which we made the most of.”
The following week the brothers earned another doubles title on home soil at the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 tournament in Joinville.
