Carlos Alcaraz announced on social media Tuesday that he will be missing the grass-court season and planned stops in Queen’s Club and Wimbledon due to his continuing wrist injury.
“My recovery is going well and I feel much better,” Alcaraz assured fans in a statement posted to X, “but unfortunately I’m still not ready to be able to play, and that’s why I have to withdraw from the grass-court swing at Queen’s and Wimbledon They are two really special tournaments for me and I’ll miss them a lot.
“We keep working to return as soon as possible! ❤️”
The former world No. 1 was last on court in April when he competed at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell in Spain. Alcaraz, who began the 2026 season by becoming the youngest man to complete the Career Grand Slam, withdrew from the ATP 500 tournament following an opening-round victory over Otto Virtanen.
