The Delhi Special Cell, in coordination with Uttar Pradesh anti-terrorist squad, is questioning two Kashmiri doctors working at GSVM Medical University, Kanpur, and a private hospital in Hapur. Both doctors are being questioned in connection with the accused linked to the recently busted terror module, officials said.
Officers in UP Police confirmed that a team from the Delhi Special Cell visited Kanpur on Wednesday night and took a doctor for questioning to Lucknow. The doctor hails from Anantnag and had joined GSVM Medical University three months ago for a DM course in the cardiology department. Officials said he knew Dr Muzamil Shakeel Ganai and Dr Adeel Majeed Rather, two of the accused in the terror module case.
Another Special Cell team picked up a doctor, who hails from Badgam, from Hapur, where he works at a private hospital. He knew both Dr Ganai and Dr Rather, as well as Dr Umar Nabi, the Red Fort bomber, officials said.

Investigators maintained that the two doctors are being questioned to ascertain in what capacity they knew the accused and what they spoke about.
Meanwhile, sources said that they are now focusing on gathering more information about the activities of Dr Parvez Ansari, the brother of another accused from the terror module, Dr Shaheen Shahid Ansari.
Policemen from the local police in Lucknow have been instructed to gather information about his movements and activities, while the ATS is investigating with whom he was in contact. His devices have also been seized from his Lucknow house, officials said.
Like his sister, Dr Parvez is also in the custody of the J&K police.

According to sources, inputs indicate that there may be some sympathisers of the module in certain UP districts. Police teams have been alerted and are conducting inquiries, sources told The Indian Express.
