The ICC on Tuesday announced the Women’s World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament, including three of India’s title-winning stars in the playing XI.

Opener Smriti Mandhana, key batter Jemimah Rodrigues, and Player of the Tournament Deepti Sharma were all included in the XI, with South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt named captain of the all-star side.

Wolvaardt enjoyed an undisputed run as batter in the tournament, amassing a whopping 571 runs at an average of 71.37 to break the record for the most runs at any single edition of the Women’s World Cup.

Finishing as the second-leading run-scorer of the tournament, just behind Laura Wolvaardt, Mandhana picked up her form in a record-breaking year during the latter half of the tournament. The left-hander’s standout moment was her 109 against New Zealand in Navi Mumbai, but her ability to perform against top opposition was also evident in her consecutive prior scores of 80 and 81 against Australia and England.

The ICC noted that Rodrigues’ phenomenal unbeaten 127 against Australia in the semi-finals was the primary reason for her selection. The India No. 3 also contributed several other good scores throughout the tournament, including a vital 76 not out against New Zealand that helped secure India’s spot in the semis.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Deepti Sharma relished an all-time campaign, becoming the first woman to record 200-plus runs and 15-plus wickets in a single World Cup. The veteran all-rounder also turned up for the side in the final, scoring a half-century and racking up five wickets.

Australia, who reached the semi-finals, is represented by Annabel Sutherland, Ash Gardner, and leg-spinner Alana King. The only player named in the side who did not reach the final four is Pakistan’s standout wicket-keeper, Sidra Nawaz.
