Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express: Indian Railways (IR) has revised the schedule of the Mangaluru–Madgaon Vande Bharat Express following the introduction of the Non-Monsoon Train Timetable, effective from October 21. The train is being operated and maintained by the Southern Railway (SR) zone.

The trains operating on the Konkan Railway route follow two timetables: the Monsoon Timetable and the Non-Monsoon Timetable. During the Southwest Monsoon season, speed restrictions are imposed across the route to ensure safe train operations.

Following the revision, train number 20646 will depart from Mangaluru Central at 08:30 hrs, reaching Madgaon Junction at 13:10 hrs. On the return journey, train number 20645 will leave Madgaon at 18:10 hrs and arrive at Mangaluru Central at 22:45 hrs.

The Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat train operates on all days of the week except Thursday. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2023. The train commenced its commercial journey on January 1, 2024.
Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express ticket price
The Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Special train has two types of seating arrangements: AC Chair Car and Executive AC. The ticket price for travelling in an AC Chair Car on Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru-Madgaon is Rs 1,230. For an Executive Chair Car, this comes up to Rs 2,220.
