Old friends reunited over the weekend as Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and her daughter Princess Lilibet spent an afternoon playing board games with 23-time Grand Slam champion and dedicated “auntie” Serena Williams.
“When the aunties come to celebrate … and to play! Love you @serenawilliams,” Meghan wrote in a video shared to her Instagram story.
Williams and Meghan have been longtime friends since meeting at the 2010 Super Bowl, with Meghan spotted supporting the former world No. 1 at various tennis matches over the years and Williams even attending Meghan and Prince Harry’s royal wedding along with husband Alexis Ohanian and daughter Olympia.

This time it was family game night with the Sussexes, featuring the tiny princess and her “auntie” Serena. Even the boardgame was all pinked up for the occasion, with the personalized Candy Lane box reading “Archie & Lili Candy Land”—a nod to Harry and Meghan’s children, Princess Lilibet, 3, and Prince Archie, 5.
