INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Committee has announced the thirteen teams selected for the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. Of the 13 teams in the championship field, seven of the teams received automatic qualification berths as winners of their conference championship. Six institutions were selected with at-large berths, which consist of institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that were not the conference champion and independent institutions.

Five first-round games will be played on March 14, and four quarterfinal games will be played on March 21. All tournament games will be played on campus sites. First-round games will be played at 3 p.m. local time. Quarterfinal round games will be played at 3 p.m. local time. The championship is a non-predetermined finals site in 2026. Following the quarterfinal round, the highest remaining seed that submitted a bid will host the semifinals and finals. Two semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 27, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern and the championship game on Sunday, March 29, will be played at 3 p.m. Eastern. In 2025, UW–River Falls capped off a dominant season by defeating Amherst 3–1 to claim the NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship, securing their second consecutive national title.
