Mirra Andreeva became the third player on the WTA tour to lift a trophy more than once this season with a comeback victory against Anastasia Potapova at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz on Sunday.
The top seed trailed 6-1, 1-0 against the newly-minted Austrian, who started competing for the country this year, before turning things around in a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory that earned her both a fifth career title, and second trophy of 2026.
The world No. 1 joins Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula as players to win more than one title so far this year.
After the one hour and 54-minute victory, Andreeva said that Potapova, against whom she is now 3-1, “pushed [her] to [her] limit.”
