Sinner hasn’t just been perfect in Grand Slam finals since the start of last year, he’s been almost perfect in finals, period.
He’s now 9-1 in tour-level finals since the start of 2024, his only loss in a title match coming to Alcaraz in Beijing last fall, and just barely, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3).
Meanwhile, he’s come away with the trophy the other nine times in that span, eight last year at the Australian Open, Rotterdam, Miami, Halle, Cincinnati, the US Open, Shanghai and the ATP Finals, and now already one more this year at the Australian Open.
