Jack Innard will be a “great addition” to Gloucester next season, says director of rugby George Skivington after he confirmed the hooker’s signing from Exeter.
Cornwall-born Innard came through the Chiefs’ academy and has made 83 appearances for the club since his debut in 2013.
The 29-year-old forward has played 12 matches for Exeter this season but only two as a starter and will join Gloucester from 2025-26.
“Jack’s a really good lad,” Skivington told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
“I think he’s excited for a change. He’s been at Exeter a long time and seen them win a lot of things and been a part of that.
“That brings something different which is great. He’s ultimately been part of that squad that’s won numerous trophies.
“It’s great to have people who’ve been around some successful environments and can add what they know off the field as well.”
Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter had earlier announced Innard was leaving the club for the Cherry and Whites, as the Premiership sides return to league action after an eight-week break.
Innard, who represented England at under-20 level, scored the opening try when Exeter won the Anglo Welsh Cup in 2018 and also went over when they won the 2022 Premiership Rugby Cup.
