India vs China Women’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025 Live Score Updates: In a clash of unbeaten sides, India face China in their second Super 4s match at the 2025 Women’s Asia Cup at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park in Hangzhou, China. India have won all but one of their matches thus far in the tournament but they are in for a stiff challenge than anything they have faced thus far with China being the Olympic silver medallists and coming into this match in red-hot form.

The match will start at 4.30 pm IST and is streamed live on Watch Hockey app. Korea and Japan, who lost their respective matches against China and India on Wednesday, played out a 1-1 draw earlier in the day, meaning the winner of India vs China, should there be one, will qualify for the final.

China’s tournament has been spotless so far, scoring 33 goals in four matches and conceding none, defeating Japan 2-0 in their Super 4s opener on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, India beat South Korea 4-2 in their first Super 4s clash. Vaishnavi Phalke, Sangita Kumari, Lalremsiami, and Rutuja Pisal were the scorers for India while Kim Yujin scored both of Korea’s goals from Penalty Corners. India topped Pool B with seven points from three games. They began their campaign with a resounding 11-0 victory over Thailand, followed by a thrilling 2-2 draw against Japan, and wrapped up their Pool stage with an emphatic 12-0 win against Singapore. Read more about their campaign so far here.

The tournament is crucial for all Asian sides as it guarantees a spot nice and early at next year’s Hockey World Cup.

It took India 70 seconds after (a much-delayed) pushback to win their first penalty corner against South Korea at the Women’s Asia Cup in Hangzhou, the first Super 4s clash of the tournament.

Korea actually started the match on the front foot, attacking down the left flank. One of the areas India have worked on in the training camps since the Pro League season was to be more proactive in tackling opponents outside the attacking circle. They did just that, being aggressive in 1-vs-1 situations, and when they won the ball back, they broke forward at pace. Sangita Kumari’s speed down the left flank helped with the circle entry and then Lalremsiami’s typically robust ball-control in crowded spaces helped India win the set piece. After struggling with PC conversions in the back end of the big win against Singapore, there was bound to be some intrigue as to how India tackled the PC routines.
