India vs Iran Live Streaming Online: After defeating Tajikistan for the first time in 17 years in the opening match of the CAFA Nations Cup, India will face their toughest challenge when they take on World No.20 Iran on Monday. India, ranked 133, might look out of their depth on paper but under coach Khalid Jamil, they will look to pull off the mother of all upsets.
Against Tajikistan, India started brightly, scoring 2 goals in 13 minutes courtesy of Anwar Ali and Sandesh Jhingan before conceding in the 23rd. Tajikistan grew more into the match in the second half with waves of attacks in front of the Indian goal, even winning a penalty. But Gurpreet Singh Sandhu pulled off an excellent save with his feet to help India keep hold of their slender lead and win the match.
Iran, meanwhile, have thrashed Afghanistan 3-1 in their opening match and come into the tournament as heavy favourites. They are the highest ranked team in the Nations Cup and have also qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a distant dream for India. The last time these two sides met was in a qualifier for the 2018 World Cup where the Persians thrashed India 4-0.
