IMD India Weather Forecast Today Live News Updates: Amid heavy rainfall in the region, the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) in Uttarakhand issued a high-alert landslide warning for four districts-Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli. Following forecasts by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the alert is on for July 7 and 8. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely in these regions, thereby increasing the risk of slope failures and road blockages.
Other rain alerts: The weather agency has issued a ‘red’ alert for several parts of Madhya Maharashtra, where extremely heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning is likely on Monday. An ‘orange’ alert is in place in Gujarat, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa regions, which will experience very heavy rainfall, with thunderstorms, lightning and squall today.
Delhi weather today: Delhiites woke up to light rainfall in the Capital on Monday. The IMD, in its forecast, stated that light to moderate rainfall accompanied by light thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, with speed reaching 30-40 km/h, is likely over several parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) over the next two hours.
