Georgia knocked off No. 3 Florida 88-83, handing the Gators their first loss since Feb. 1.
Florida (24-4, 11-4 SEC) held a 12-game winning streak over Georgia heading into this matchup, with the Bulldog’s last win coming in March of 2019.

Georgia (17-11, 5-10 SEC) jumped out of the gate, holding a 39-13 lead 12 minutes into the first half. The Gators were able to climb back inside 20 in the closing minutes of the first, trailing 51-35 at the break. Entering this matchup, Florida was allowing just 30.7 first-half points per game.
The duo of Silas Demary Jr. and Asa Newell combined for 24 points at the break as Georgia shot 67% from the field and 7-9 from beyond the arc heading to the locker rooms.
The Gators slowly clawed back, pulling within 10 a handful of times and eventually taking their first lead of the game with 90 seconds remaining behind a 13-0 run down the stretch.
However, Georgia guard Blue Cain hit the shot of the night for the Dawgs, snapping their four-minute scoring drought with a clutch 3-pointer with 47 seconds to play. A stop on the ensuing possession moved the game to the charity stripe, where Georgia sealed the win in front of its home crowd.

The Bulldogs picked up a necessary win to stay in the hunt for March with just three games remaining, while Florida will try to get back on track against No. 12 Texas A&M on Saturday.
