Barring that, the 2022 IPL winners have been largely quiet. As per the press release sent out by the Indian Premier League on Saturday, where some significant trades for players like Ravindra Jadeja, Sanju Samson, Mohammad Shami and Nitish Rana were revealed, there was no activity on the Gujarat Titans front.
However, what they decide to do with their roster on retention deadline day could be interesting to watch.

What are the rules of IPL retentions?
When there is a mega auction, there is a limit to the number of players, be it overseas or the Indians, that the squads can retain. But this time around, as it is not a mega auction, teams can retain around as many players as they wish to. Despite the flexible rules, the franchises need to have 25 players, and the purse for each franchise will be around 120 crores.
