Cricketers from around the world were no different from other celebrities in wishing their fans a happy new year and giving a snippet of how they rang in 2026. Former India captain Virat Kohli posted a photo with his wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma on the occassion. Kohli and fellow India veteran Rohit Sharma are currently playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the first time he made an appearance in the tournament in well over a decade.
Kohli has been in top form in ODIs this year since retiring from Tests and has simply carried that form into the Vijay Hazare trophy, recording scores of 131 and 77 thus far. Also wishing fans were his former Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammates AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle; as did the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Yuvraj Singh and so on.
