Tiafoe further announced he would be starting 2026 with a new coaching squad, coaches David Witt and Jordi Arconada separately revealing they had parted ways with the two-time US Open semifinalist on their own social media platforms.
“I truly appreciate the love..energy…passion and brotherhood. It’s been a great ride and only bigger and better things for all of us ahead,” Tiafoe explained. “Excited for what’s ahead for me and ready to put the work in. Thanks for all the love and support thru it all. The best is yet to come.”
At 27, Tiafoe kicked off the year looking for a fourth straight finish inside the Top 20. Despite raching a first Roland Garros quarterfinal, he ultimately fell to No. 29 after a mixed season ended with an opening-round loss at the Rolex Shanghai Masters to Yannick Hanfmann.
