It’s fitting we’re getting a final between Clara Tauson and Mirra Andreeva at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
While Tauson isn’t a household name, you can count on one hand the number of players that have been better to start the 2025 season. The Dane is already 15-3 and claimed a title in Auckland. She also has several high-profile wins on her resume. Meanwhile, Andreeva is up to No. 11 in the live WTA rankings, and she has been knocking on the door of a big result for a while. Well, this is her chance, and I ultimately think she’ll get the job done. After all, she’s a -189 favorite.
However, with this being one of the biggest matches of the 17-year-old’s career, I can’t imagine her doing it in a straightforward fashion. That said, the Over on the game total is the most enticing play here.
