Are you an 18-to-35-year-old man who’s been sitting at home during this Australian Open and thinking, “I could do that”? Dayana Yastremska has a job for you.
Less than 24 hours after the Ukrainian world No. 33, a semifinalist in Melbourne last year, lost to Elena Rybakina in straight sets in Friday’s third round, she was crowd-sourcing for a new hitting partner on Instagram, citing only an “emergency” that necessitated she advertise the vacancy within her team.
Her requirements, besides age? Travel at least 25 weeks on the road, and own a career-best ITF ranking of Top 50 and/or a Top 400 mark on the ATP tour.
