Coco Gauff won a battle between the two youngest players in the Top 10 of the WTA rankings in the quarterfinals of Madrid on Wednesday, coming back from double set point down to win the first set then cruising through the second set for a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Mirra Andreeva.
Gauff is now through to her first semifinal of the year, where another blockbuster match-up awaits—she’ll face Iga Swiatek, a 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 winner over Madison Keys earlier in the day.
