The CBI has registered a murder case in connection with the death of a 19-year-old playschool teacher at a Bhiwani village last month, which led to widespread protests in several parts of Haryana. Taking note of the public outrage, the state government transferred the case to the CBI.
The teacher, from Bhiwani district, went missing on August 11 and her body with some grievous injuries on the neck was found two days later in Singhani village.
After taking over the investigations from the police, the CBI registered an FIR under the BNS Section of 103 (1) (murder) and 127 (6) (wrongful confinement) on the complaint of victim’s father Sanjay Kumar.
A team of CBI has already visited the crime scene and recorded statements of the locals. “We are examining all the statements to get a lead,” an official said.
