Bonhams|Cars Appoints Former McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt as Global Motoring Chairman

Flewitt, the former CEO of McLaren Automotive Limited, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership to one of the world’s most prestigious motoring auction houses.

During his tenure at McLaren, Flewitt spearheaded a period of remarkable growth and innovation, cementing the brand’s leadership in high-performance luxury automobiles. Prior to McLaren, he built an illustrious career with executive roles at Rolls-Royce and Bentley, Ford Motor Company, and Volvo, showcasing his expertise across the full spectrum of the automotive industry – from mass-market to luxury and high-performance vehicles. His deep manufacturing knowledge, paired with commercial leadership, has earned him a reputation as one of the most respected figures in the automotive industry. Since departing McLaren, he has founded a highly regarded consultancy, working with prestigious organizations such as Vertical Aerospace, Ricor Global Limited (as Chairman), and Halcyon and Longbow Motors (as a board advisor).  

Based in London, Flewitt will report directly to Bonhams Global CEO, Chabi Nouri, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Bonhams|Cars. His priorities will include expanding the department’s global presence, strengthening relationships with clients, and collaborating with the Bonhams executive team to define and execute the department’s strategic roadmap, all while upholding Bonhams|Cars renowned reputation for excellence in the collector car market. As Global Motoring Chairman, Flewitt will represent the brand at prestigious motoring events and concours around the world, as well as serve a key role at all major Bonhams|Cars live auctions. His leadership will further solidify Bonhams|Cars’ legacy in the collector car industry and reinforce its position as a global market leader.

Flewitt’s appointment follows another significant hire, with William Collick joining as Business Development Lead for the US. Based in Los Angeles, Collick brings over 20 years of experience in exotic and luxury car sales and marketing. He has a proven track record in driving global sales, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth clients, and establishing strategic partnerships. Having held leadership roles at Czinger, Pagani, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Audi, Collick brings extensive industry expertise and a fresh, dynamic approach to business development at Bonhams|Cars.
