“Super Saiyan evolved again,” wrote Martinez on Instagram, referencing the famous bleach-blonde lead character from the Dragon Ball Z franchise.
With more than 130,000 likes on the Instagram post showcasing his refreshed locks, Alcaraz and Martinez’s mutual vision will no doubt divide the internet (and the locker room) again. But Martinez says that the two don’t pay much mind to what people are saying after building up an ironclad trust as stylist and client.

“Whenever he travels to Murcia, he always visits me at the barbershop. He always comes to get a cut,” Martinez told tennis outlet Bounces this spring. “Only me. I’ve even offered to find him a barber wherever he is, and he says no; he waits. ‘I’ll wait until I’m in Murcia, and you’ll cut it.'”
“Carlos’ cut is bold and young,” he continued. “Some people like it, others don’t. But Carlos and I laugh at the bad comments. It’s funny. He likes it, and so do I. Yeah, I get a lot of comments. But I only focus on the good ones. That’s it.”
