An Agniveer was killed and two others injured in a landmine blast along the Line of Control in Poonch district of J&K on Friday.
Identifying the deceased as Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT Regiment, official sources said that the injured have been shifted to Army hospital and their condition is stated to be stable. They have been identified as Havildar Gajender Singh and Subedar Hari Ram.
“I pay my heartfelt tributes to Agniveer Lalit Kumar who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The nation stands firmly with them in this hour of grief,’’ Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said in a statement.
