RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – August 27, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – The 2025 Yamaha Racing National at Budds Creek Motocross Park, just outside Washington, D.C., marked the eleventh and final round of this year’s AMA Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. Dunlop riders once again proved their dominance, sweeping both the 250 MX and 450 MX Championships and extending Dunlop’s unprecedented streak to 16 consecutive years.
The strength of Dunlop was evident across the championship standings. In the premier 450 MX class, Dunlop riders claimed the top 15 positions, while in the 250 MX class, they secured the top 39 spots. With victories in every AMA Pro title in 2025, Dunlop-supported athletes have now achieved an astounding 188 combined AMA Pro Motocross and Supercross Championships.
While fans anticipated a three-way battle between Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence, and Eli Tomac, the 450 title was ultimately decided at the penultimate round in Unadilla. Team Honda HRC Progressive’s Jett Lawrence rose to the occasion, going 1-1 over his brother and teammate Hunter Lawrence to clinch his second career 450 Class Pro Motocross Championship. Lawrence’s consistency and speed once again underscored the reliability and performance of Dunlop tires at the highest level of competition.
The 250 title went down to the wire at Budds Creek between Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan and Team Honda HRC Progressive’s Jo Shimoda. Deegan, a seven-time Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Champion and graduate of the Team Dunlop Elite program, started the season strong with six overall wins. His steady podium finishes—only one moto outside the top three all season—propelled him to his second career 250 Pro Motocross Championship. With his move to the 450 class in 2026, Deegan is poised to become one of the sport’s next superstars.
“The 2025 season once again highlighted that the next generation of motocross talent is here to stay,” said Broc Glover, Senior Manager, Off-Road Motorcycles at Dunlop. “For the sixteenth straight year, Dunlop riders swept both the 250 and 450 championships, as well as every podium position across all eleven rounds. That consistency reflects not only the skill of the riders but also the innovation and reliability of Dunlop tires. The Geomax MX34 and MX14 once again delivered exceptional performance across diverse track conditions, proving that tires truly make the difference at the elite level.”
Dunlop is proud to celebrate every rider who chooses to race on Dunlop, and we look forward to building on this momentum heading into the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals.
