India (IND) vs England (ENG) 5th Test Day 3 LIVE Cricket Score Updates: Shubman Gill’s India walk into day 3 of the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England at the Oval with a 52-run lead and Yashasvi Jaiswal batting on 51 after being given two reprieves in the field by English fielders on Friday.

India had lost the wickets of KL Rahul (7) and Sai Sudharsan (11) early, but Akash Deep came in as the nightwatchman and ensured that India did not suffer any additional losses. The game was interrupted by rain on Friday as well and ended early due to bad light. Interestingly, England’s stand-in captain Ollie Pope opted not to have his bowlers bowl for an additional 15 minutes at the end when umpires offered them the option of playing on but only with spinners due to the light being poor. Pope declined the offer, probably knowing fully well how Jaiswal likes to bat against spin. Pope did not want the half centurion the opportunity to plunder runs before stumps on day 2.
