Cricketer and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player Yash Dayal, 27, has been booked on charges of allegedly raping a minor, the Jaipur police said on Friday. The development comes weeks after Dayal was booked on charges of rape following a complaint by a Ghaziabad woman.
The First Information Report (FIR) in the latest case was lodged on July 23 under relevant sections for rape under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, the police said.
According to the station house officer (SHO) of the jurisdictional police station, the complainant is a 19-year-old aspiring cricketer who came into contact with Dayal two years ago. The woman told the police that Dayal allegedly promised to help her in her cricketing career.
“The first incident (of rape) was in 2023, when she was 17. The most recent incident was in April 2025 in Jaipur,” the SHO said. The latest rape allegedly took place during the Indian Premier League, where Jaipur also hosted some matches.
Earlier this month, Dayal was booked on charges of rape days after a Ghaziabad woman accused him of “emotionally, mentally, and physically” exploiting her after promising to marry her.
The woman had filed a complaint through the chief minister’s online grievance portal on June 21, seeking justice for allegedly facing abuse and deception. In her complaint to the police, she had alleged that she had been in a relationship with the cricketer for five years.
