At least four children were killed and several others were feared trapped after a government school building collapsed in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place in Peeplodi Government School of Manoharthana block in the district when the children were attending classes, as per news agency PTI.
“Four children have died and 17 others are injured. Ten children have been referred to Jhalawar out of which three to four are critical,” Jhalawar’s Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said.
Visuals from the site showed locals and teachers helping to remove the debris after the roof of Piplodi Primary School collapsed,

Rescue operations are underway and the district magistrate has reached the site, Rajasthan’s Education Minister Madan Dilawar said.
