A Singer-Reimagined 1990 Porsche 911 ‘Classic Turbo’ to be Auctioned by Bonhams|Cars at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix

The first Singer Classic Turbo offered for public sale 

MIAMI, FL – April 2, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – A 1990 Porsche 911 Classic Turbo stunningly reimagined and restored by Singer Vehicle Designs will cross the auction block during Bonhams|Cars’ Miami Auction at the FORMULA 1® CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 on Saturday May 3. This Singer Classic Turbo, “The Sun Valley Commission,” is the very car road and track-tested by famed journalist Chris Harris in his 40-minute film introducing the Turbo Concept.  This is the first car to be offered for public sale and is estimated at $1.75 – 2.25 million.

Founded in 2009 by Porsche enthusiast Rob Dickenson, Singer Vehicle Design gave birth to a new dimension of Porsche restoration. Respecting the many before him doing great things with 911 hot rods and retromods, few, if any, have elevated the craft to the level achieved by Dickenson and his team at Singer. So much more than restoration, Singer cars are thoroughly and completely reimagined from the ground up.

As with every Singer, Sun Valley was meticulously created with direct input from its original owner. It has been completely reworked down to every last nut, bolt, and fastener to meet Singer’s exacting standards. The body shell, based on a 964, features bespoke lightweight carbon fiber panels subtly reworked to enhance the aggressive, wide-body stance of the 930. The body is finished in a stunning and unique shade of paint-to-sample Dirty Oak Green Metallic, accented by 18-inch Fuchs alloys with black centers. It boasts a mighty 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine and a bespoke Singer-developed suspension with integrated front axle lift.

2021 Ford GT Mk II, estimated at $800,000 – 1,100,000.

The sale will also present a 2021 Ford GT Mk II, sporting a retro-style one-off livery inspired by Ford heritage and only 41.5 miles on the odometer, offered at No Reserve. Partnering with the legendary race shop, Multimatic Motorsports, Ford developed the MK II as a full-chat, track-only GT to show off what Ford engineers could do without the restrictions of road use or race regulations. The ultimate American supercar, designed for extracting every bit of potential performance from its high-tech chassis, it is equipped with an unrestricted Ecoboost V6 engine producing 700+ horsepower. One of only 45 MK IIs produced, Chassis number 44, estimated at $800,000 – 1,100,000, is one of the most distinctive and visually arresting examples.

In collaboration with South Florida Motorsports, the Bonhams|Cars Miami Auction will take place at the Miami International Autodrome during the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025.
