Aryna Sabalenka was unstoppable in Miami this year, winning the title without even dropping a set—she never even went to a tie-break.
And not only did the world No. 1 come away with her first Miami Open title, her eighth WTA 1000 title and the 19th overall WTA title of her career, but the victory took her to a brand new ranking milestone: she has now surpassed 10,000 ranking points for the first time.
Sabalenka went into Miami with 9,606 points on her ranking, and replaced the 65 points from her third-round exit last year with 1,000 points from her run to the title this year—that’s a net gain of 935 points, which pushes her into five digits for the first time, at 10,541.
And with that she joins an exclusive list of legends, becoming just the fourth woman in the last decade to surpass 10,000 ranking points.
