This year’s Final Four teams prove there is more than 1 way to get to San AntonioHow many brackets correctly pick every Final Four team each year, since 2014NCAA tournament: All-time No. 1 seeds, teams, history

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee has approved the 11 game officials recommended by Chris Rastatter, the national coordinator of officiating, to work Saturday’s two national semifinal games and Monday’s national championship game. A three-person crew will work each Men’s Final Four game, while two officials will serve as the standby officials for all three contests.

The NCAA has notified these 11 individuals that they have been selected to work the 2025 Men’s Final Four, which will be played at the Alamodome in downtown San Antonio:

  • Roger Ayers
  • James Breeding
  • AJ Desai
  • Courtney Green
  • Ronald Groover
  • Michael Irving
  • Keith Kimble
  • Terry Oglesby
  • Tony Padilla
  • Doug Shows
  • Doug Sirmons

“Collectively, this group of officials have done an exceptional job officiating in the tournament,” said Rastatter. “Similar to how teams advance in the tournament with exceptional performances, these officials have been deemed the best amongst their peers and therefore advance to work on the biggest stage at the Final Four. Among the many officials who have performed well in the tournament the last two weeks, this group separated themselves.”

Sirmons will be officiating his 10th Men’s Final Four, while Ayers, Groover and Kimble were all selected for the seventh time. Shows and Oglesby will be working their sixth Final Four, while Breeding and Padilla have been selected for the fourth time. Green is making his second appearance at the Final Four, while Desai and Irving were selected for the first time.

For only the second time since seeding began in 1979, Saturday’s semifinals feature the four No. 1 seeds. The first game features top overall seed and South Region champion Auburn taking on Southeastern Conference rival and West Region champion Florida. The second game has East Region champion Duke taking on Midwest Region champion Houston. Game 1 tips at 5:09 p.m. Central time, while the second game will begin 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first.

The officiating assignments for each semifinal game, as well as Monday night’s national championship game, will be announced Saturday afternoon.

This year’s Final Four teams prove there is more than 1 way to get to San Antonio

Auburn and Florida, Duke and Houston. No. 1 in their regions on Selection Sunday, all headed for San Antonio now. Nos. 1-4 in the KenPom rankings. Nos. 1-4 in the NET rankings. Nos. 1-4 in the Associated Press poll. To pick all Final Four teams correctly in your bracket this March, all you needed was the willingness to be boring. Go chalk or go home.
