French teamed up with Bouchard in the mixed doubles bracket, falling Victoria DiMuzio and Roscoe Bellamy 11-6, 6-11, 11-7.
Unfortunately for the former WTA player, she fell in the opening round across all three eligible brackets, including a 31-minute battle with No. 1 seed Anna Leigh Waters and Catherine Parenteau in women’s doubles.
