UConn junior center Tarris Reed Jr. had a first love, and it wasn’t basketball. True to his last name, it was a wind instrument: the saxophone. A Reed family rule — find a musical hobby and stick with it. These days, basketball is more prominent in Reed’s life, but he still turns to music as a stress reliever, spending evenings at UConn’s practice facility clearing his head.
