Built with Kostyuk’s input, Wilson this week announced the launch of the Intrigue, a high-performance tennis shoe built exclusively for women
The Ukrainian soft-launched the shoe at the US Open last year, according to *Forbes*, and its development started by scanning her foot as she challenged her apparel partner to make a shoe more suited for running and movement. Following an “extensive” process that led to the development of a new last that will be “the new standard of fit for Wilson’s women’s-specific tennis footwear,” according to Wilson’s senior director of footwear Shivam Bhan, the brand says the shoe is “personalized to the needs of the female athlete” as it gets ready to release to retailers on Feb. 11.
