LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9, 2025 – Tennis Channel its app and website will cover the Australian Open – the first major of the tennis year – Saturday, Jan. 11, through Sunday, Jan. 26. The network’s 18th year Down Under begins Saturday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m. ET with Tennis Channel Live at the Australian Open. The show will air at 5 p.m. ET nightly throughout the two-week tournament and, as in years past, provide highlights, analysis, interviews and news from the Melbourne competition. Prior to each afternoon’s program, Tennis Channel will feature encore replays throughout the day from the first day of play through the last championship point (a complete, daily schedule can be found at Tennischannel.com/schedule).

The Tennis Channel Live at the Australian Open on-air team includes Hall of Famers Martina Navratilova (@Martina), Jim Courier and Lindsay Davenport (@LDavenport76) again in 2025. All of their trophy cases are lined with Australian Open hardware. Navratilova won three singles, eight doubles and a mixed-doubles championship during her time in Melbourne. Courier took consecutive singles titles in 1992 and 1993, while Davenport grabbed the singles crown in 2000. She also advanced to six Australian Open doubles finals in her career.

They will be joined on the program by former player Prakash Amritraj (@PrakashAmritraj), Tennis Channel’s year-round host of the “Prakash Worldwide” interview segments from events across the globe. Championship-winning coach and former player Paul Annacone (@paul_annacone) is back on Tennis Channel’s Australian Open team this year, again offering analysis during encore match replays. He won the tournament’s doubles title in 1985. His booth partner will be award-winning announcer Brett Haber (@BrettHaber) once more.

Longtime Tennis Channel host Steve Weissman (@SteveWeissman) will steer the Tennis Channel Live at the Australian Open discussion in 2025, as he has for several years. Jon Wertheim (@jonwertheim) is also back on the program this year. The author, Sports Illustrated editor/reporter and CBS’ 60 Minutes contributor will contribute his day-to-day perspective on everything that happens in Melbourne as well as special reports.

TennisChannel.com and Tennis.com will carry Australian Open news, highlights, scores, interviews and live blogs throughout the event. The network’s social media platforms will closely follow the activity in Melbourne during the next two weeks. Fans can stay on top of everything on Facebook (Facebook.com/TennisChannel), Twitter (Twitter.com/TennisChannel), Instagram (Instagram.com/Tennischannel) and TikTok (Tiktok.com/@tennischannel) and Facebook (Facebook.com/TennisMedia).

In November Tennis Channel announced a new app and website service that merged its flagship 24-hour network with extensive live and on-demand multicourt coverage. Previous television network-only subscribers gained access to subscription-streaming service extras at no additional cost, and streaming subscribers could now watch the television network on the platform. During the Australian Open, all subscribers to the network’s app will have, for the first time, the traditional television network’s Tennis Channel Live at the Australian Open as it premieres on air. Fans will also be able to watch encore replays throughout the tournament.

Tennis Channel (www.tennischannel.com) and its sibling network T2, which are owned by Sinclair, Inc., are the only television-based multiplatform destinations dedicated to both the professional sport and tennis lifestyle. The networks have the most concentrated single-sport coverage in television in one of the world’s most voluminous sports, with multiple men’s and women’s tournaments and singles, doubles and mixed competition throughout the year. Tennis Channel and T2 have rights at the four majors – US Open, Wimbledon, Roland Garros (French Open) and Australian Open – and are the exclusive U.S. homes of all men’s ATP World Tour and women’s WTA Tour competitions, Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup, United Cup, and Laver Cup. The network’s app and website house a direct-to-consumer streaming service with the traditional television network and 10,000 hours of live and on-demand matches beside original content. Tennis Channel International brings live competition and network content to markets in Europe and Asia via digital subscription and free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels. Additional platform www.tennis.com is the largest digital outlet dedicated to the sport. Tennis Channel also oversees a network of close to 20 podcasts and is a co-owner of Pickleballtv, a joint-venture with the Professional Pickleball Association.
