According to Poland’s TVP World, it was Linette’s coach Mark Gellard who first pitched the idea of Radwanska joining the team after the 32-year-old parted ways with second coach Iain Hughes earlier in the season. Radwanska, who remains a popular figure in Polish sport, will reportedly work with Linette during the off-season and through the first part of the 2025 season.

“For now, it’s supposed to be eight, ten weeks of working together. Until the end of winter. I’m absolutely delighted and very happy. I can’t wait for the preparations.”
Linette won her third WTA title this year in Prague—her first victory on tour since 2020 Hua Hin—and reached the final in Rouen, her first time reaching multiple finals since 2019. She’s currently ranked No. 38, having peaked at world No. 13 in 2023.
