One of the tour’s most popular figures in her playing days, Kontaveit received a flood a well-wishes from fellow players for both her pregnancy announcement and new addition. Most notably, Ons Jabeur (who said she couldn’t wait to be an “auntie” in the comments of Kontaveit’s springtime reveal) jumped in to give a special welcome to her “little friend.”

Kontaveit’s announcement makes it five high-profile WTA players who’ve given birth this year, beginning with Belinda Bencic who welcomed her daughter, Bella, in April. Petra Kvitova and Alison Riske-Amritraj gave birth to a son and a daughter within days of each other during Wimbledon, while former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki delivered a daughter, also named Bella, earlier this month.
