Jannik Sinner’s incredible set streak at Masters 1000 events may have come to an end at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters on Thursday, but his overall match winning streak at this level stayed very much alive.
And on Friday the Italian hit a big milestone in that streak—he’s now won his last 20 matches in a row at Masters 1000 events, following a 6-3, 6-4 quarterfinal victory against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
With that, he adds his name to a very legendary list.
Sinner is just the fourth player ever to win 20 or more matches in a row at Masters 1000 events, since that level of tournament began in 1990, after the Big 3 of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
