Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train launch: The much-awaited country’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train is set to be launched next week. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had said on January 1 that the train would be launched around January 17–18. The new orange and grey-coloured Vande Bharat Sleeper will operate between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya), significantly strengthening rail connectivity between eastern India and the Northeast.
Howrah-Guwahati-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper: Train Number, Route
The Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper will operate as train number 27575, while the Kamakhya–Howrah service will run as train number 27576. The train will run via Bandel, Azimganj, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri and New Cooch Behar.
Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper train: Stoppages
During its journey between Howrah and Kamakhya, this new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will halt at 13 stations. These are: Bandel, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Azimganj, New Farakka, Malda Town, Aluabari Road, New Jalpaiguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Cooch Behar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Rangiya.
Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper train: Frequency, Composition
The Howrah–Kamakhya–Howrah Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week. Train number 27575, running from Howrah to Kamakhya, will operate on all days except Thursday, while train number 27576, from Kamakhya to Howrah, will run on all days except Wednesday.
The train will comprise 16 coaches: 11 AC 3-tier, four AC 2-tier and one AC 1st class. A total of two rakes will be deployed on the Howrah–Guwahati route.

Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper train time table
Train number 27575, the Howrah–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper, will depart from Howrah at 18:20 hrs and arrive at Kamakhya at 08:20 hrs the following day. In the return direction, train number 27576 will leave Kamakhya at 18:15 hrs and reach Howrah at 08:15 hrs the next day. The journey time for the entire route will be around 14 hours.

Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper train ticket price
The Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper train will feature three classes of coaches: Third AC, Second AC and First AC. The fare for travel between Howrah and Kamakhya (and vice versa) is Rs 2,300 for Third AC, Rs 3,000 for Second AC, and Rs 3,600 for First AC.
