IPL 2026 Retention List Live Updates: Sanju Samson made a historic switch to the Chennai Super Kings in the franchise’s biggest-ever trade deal in IPL history. Fittingly, the Super Kings made the bid in hope and anticipation of fixing the road map and transition from their most iconic brand and cricketer, MS Dhoni.
Snapped up at Rs 18 crore deal, Samson will move closer to home from the Rajasthan Royals, while CSK have had to let go of one of their most prized possessions over the last decade, Ravindra Jadeja. The move seems, at this point, more a win for CSK than RR who have signed up Sam Curran too for Rs 2.4 crore as part of the three-player deal.
