Northampton Saints back row Angus Scott-Young has left the club with immediate effect to return to Australia.
The 28-year-old joined the club ahead of the 2022-23 season and made 77 appearances in total, scoring four tries.
He played in last season’s European Champions Cup final defeat against Bordeaux as a replacement and his last Saints appearance came in the 37-35 Prem Rugby win at Gloucester on 5 October.

“I went to my brother’s wedding a few weeks ago; that was the first time my family had all been together in about seven years, and I got to meet my niece for the first time. That really hit home for me, and being closer to my family became the biggest driver for this decision.”
Director of rugby Phil Dowson said Saints fully understood his reasons for requesting his release.
“Angus has been an outstanding servant to Northampton Saints, and has made a big contribution to the squad during his time here,” he said.
“From the moment he arrived, his attitude has been exemplary – always putting the team first, working tirelessly to improve, and setting high standards for those around him.”
Northampton are currently top of the Prem table, two points clear of reigning champions Bath after five games played.
