Wing Tommy Freeman is hoping to cause some “damage” for England in the Autumn Nations Series after scoring four tries in Northampton’s win over Saracens.
Friday’s 43-31 victory at Franklin’s Gardens was unbeaten Northampton’s fourth in five Prem games this season and kept them top of the table.
It was their last in the competition until 29 November with the Prem Rugby Cup returning while Freeman and five Saints team-mates are away with England.
Steve Borthwick’s side play Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina over four weekends next month at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium.
“We’re looking to kick on. We did pretty well in the Six Nations and the lads did unbelievably well on the summer tour to Argentina as well,” freeman told BBC Radio Northampton.
“You can really tell this is a close group and hopefully we do some damage this autumn.”
Joining them in the squad will be Saracen’s teenage wing Noah Caluori, who trained with England after scoring five tries for his club against Sale recently, but failed to add to his tally at Northampton.
“Noah’s an unbelievable athlete, we saw glimpses of it in camp, and he does some pretty special stuff,” added Freeman.
“We knew he was going to bring an aerial threat we had to contain and I think we did a pretty good job of that.”
