Right now, Alexander Zverev‘s No. 3 ranking looks decorative. It’s time to make a real statement that proves he is the third-party candidate, the player most likely to challenge the Jannik Sinner-Carlos Alcaraz axis.

I’m not sure I’d catergorize it as something to prove, but I think Alexander Zverev is the player who might have a few more questions to answer. He’s still at the top of the game and a threat against anyone but he has lost some ground with Sinner and Alcaraz so dominant at the majors. Coming to the end of the season, this could be an opportunity for Zverev to reassert his game.
