👉 Andreeva has the best shot at qualifying for the WTA Finals this week, and there’s one scenario where she wouldn’t even need to win a match—if Rybakina loses her opener, Andreeva qualifies no matter what. Andreeva can also qualify by winning the title, regardless of any other results. There are several more scenarios in between where the teenager can qualify.
👉 Paolini can punch her ticket to Riyadh this week, too, if she reaches the semifinals and Rybakina doesn’t reach the semifinals, or if she reaches the final (regardless of everyone else’s results).
👉 Rybakina can’t qualify this week, but it’s possible for her to move past Paolini to No. 8, if the 2022 Wimbledon champion wins the WTA 500 title and the Italian loses before the semifinals.
