There was happy off-court news for two of tennis’ player-couples this week: Mirjam Bjorklund and Denis Shapovalov got married, and Daria and Luke Saville are having a baby.
Swede Bjorklund, a former WTA world No. 128, sparked rumors that the two got hitched in the days following the US Open by changing her surname to Shapovalova on social media this week, and their nuptials were revealed officially on Friday with an exclusive spread in Vogue Scandanavia.
The couple, engaged since 2023, recently married in Greece, overlooking the Aegean Sea, with only their closest family and friends in attendance, per the feature story. Their tuxedo-clad pup, Yatzy—whom they adopted earlier this year—stole the show in photos taken by Swedish wedding photographer Karin Lundin.
The pair first got together in 2019.
