Rajasthan Vande Bharat News: Rajasthan is set to get two more Vande Bharat Express trains next week. These new semi-high-speed trains will further strengthen connectivity, enhance passenger experience and boost regional economy. These new trains will be maintained and operated by the North Western Railway (NWR) zone.
Rajasthan Vande Bharat Train
Rajasthan got its first Vande Bharat Express train between Ajmer and Delhi. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 12, 2023. Ajmer-Delhi Cantt. Vande Bharat Express is also the world’s first semi high speed passenger train on high rise overhead electric (OHE) territory.
Rajasthan New Vande Bharat Train
Indian Railways is set to introduce two new Vande Bharat Express trains linking major cities with the national capital. The new services are expected to cut travel time by over an hour on the respective routes. These new Vande Bharat Express trains will run between: Bikaner-Delhi and Jodhpur-Delhi.
Speaking to Indianexpress.com, a senior railway official has confirmed the development. “Two new Vande Bharat Express trains will be launched between: Jodhpur-Delhi and Bikaner-Delhi,” the official said.
Rajasthan Vande Bharat Train List
Presently, 4 pairs of Vande Bharat Express trains are operational in the state. These trains run on following routes:
- Train number 20977/20978 Ajmer-Chandigarh-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express
- Train number 12461/12462 Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express
- Train number 20979/20980 Udaipur-Jaipur-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express
- Train number 20981/20982 Udaipur-Agra Cantt-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express
Vande Bharat Train Speed
The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph. The train offers passengers a faster, more comfortable, and premium travel experience.
