India vs China Women’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025 Final Live Score Updates: The India women’s hockey team will face hosts China in the summit clash of the Asia Cup on Sunday with the title on the line. It is not just the Asia Cup trophy on the line but a spot at next year’s Hockey World Cup too, with winners guaranteed a spot in the showpiece in Belgium and Netherlands.
What’s interesting is that India qualified for the final with a little help from China itself which makes Sunday’s contest all the more fascinating. China thus, finished the Super 4s as the top team while India finished second. Japan finished third while Korea stayed at the bottom of the table. The final against China also gives India a chance to avenge their loss at the Super 4 against the same opponents where the Women in Blue fell to a 4-1 defeat But China are the red-hot favourites for this title clash, having won all their matches so far in Hangzhou and conceding just one goal in six matches (which Mumtaz Khan scored). China, it is worth remembering are the Paris Olympics silver medallists.

It might have been just a mere formality, but India had to wait longer than they had hoped to know whether they would be playing against China in the title clash of the Women’s Asia Cup. Playing the first of the two Super 4s matches on Saturday, India controlled the flow for large parts against Japan, but came undone by a late equaliser and could only manage a 1-1 draw, meaning they were dependent on the result of China vs Korea. As hard as Korea tried, China came through with a 1-0 win and kept their perfect tournament record intact. And so it will be India vs China in the final on Sunday in Hangzhou.
