Asia Cup 2025 Points Table: The Asia Cup is well underway with India already having played their first match against UAE on Wednesday and blowing them away by 9 wickets, chasing down a paltry 57-run target in just 4.3 overs. Elsewhere, Afghanistan had taken on Hong Kong in the opening match of the tournament with the former running away with a thumping 94-run win. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Bangladesh’s match with Hong Kong had more of a competitive edge but Litton Das’s team ultimately won by 7 wickets.
With the tournament’s first two matches ending in a rather anticlimactic and lopsided way, the games should catch fire soon as the traditional powerhouses lock horns with India taking on archrivals Pakistan on Sunday, followed by Sri Lanka taking on Bangladesh on Saturday.
Asia Cup 2025 Points Table, Teams Standings
The teams in the Asia Cup is divided into 2 groups with India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman in one group while Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Bangladesh in another group. The top two teams qualifying from these two groups will face off in the Super 4s with the best two playing in the final on September 28.
Currently, Afghanistan lead Group B with 2 points while Bangladesh are second with 2 points as well but is behind the leaders due to net run rate. Sri Lanka are 3rd because they haven’t played in the tournament thus far while Hong Kong are at the bottom of the table with 0 points due to two losses.
Similarly, in Group A, India lead the chart with 2 points after thumping UAE by 9 wickets. Pakistan and Oman will play on Friday and one of them will open their accounts.
